Twinkling of an Eye – Ruth Johnson

Twinkling of an Eye

2:58 PM
Ruth Johnson

In the twinkling of an Eye
He will change us,
In the twinkling of an Eye
He’ll set us free,
From the pain of all the rotten toothaches,
From arthritis, cancer, flu
And misery.
We will all shine like crazy beacons,
Like Moses did on Mt. Sinai,
We will know our reason for living
And Who to never deny.
The sheep still lost
Will be found at all cost,
The wheat all gathered,
The tares all burned.
We will bury all the bones
To cleanse our earthly home,
We will not need our phones,
We will not need to roam.
In the twinkling of an eye
He will save us,
In the twinkling of an eye
We’ll rise anew,
All of us singing a new song,
All of us knowing what’s True.
The earth will be a brand new place
Where we do not think about
Outer space.
Flowers, trees with tons of fruit,
Water life giving and flowing honey to boot!
A great big house where Jesus lives,
And throws big parties
Where we ad lib,
And sing the songs
That we have wrote,
Our gilded instruments
Not missing a note.
Oh, we will be so happy you and me,
Satan will not be there to bring us down.
We will have a thousand years
Where our Savior wears the Golden Crown!
In the twinkling of an Eye
He will change us,
In the twinkling of an Eye
We will be clean,
He will rescue us from all danger,
And that danger is evil and mean.
Fall down at the feet of our Savior,
Hand the rule over to our King,
Laud Him, plead for His Mercy
And His Favor,
And He will give you
His Words to sing!
Amen!
